Three physios. One small clinic.
You'll know who you're booking with before you walk in. No rotating roster, no "one of our therapists will see you." When you ring, ask for the practitioner who fits, and we'll tell you straight who's the right match.
Jaydn Nixon
Bachelor of Physiotherapy (2002) · ACC registered · 24 years
Jaydn owns the practice and has worked across hospitals, private clinics, gym settings and educational roles in New Zealand, Australia, the UK and Asia-Pacific. He's seen every kind of body come through every kind of setting, which is mostly why he won't pretend he can fix everything.
Specialties: back and neck pain, shoulder, elbow, hip, knee and ankle injuries, sports injuries, osteoarthritis and osteoporosis management, athletic performance. Trained in spinal manipulation, dry needling, and Power Plate vibration training.
He's overcome three broken bones, a lumbar disc bulge with sciatic referral, whiplash and a knee tendon strain himself. Still wakeboards in his forties. That's not boast material; it's the reason he doesn't make people stop everything for six weeks "to be safe."
Claire Vanderpoel
Otago University · APPI Pilates · 10 years
Claire spent three years in England as lead physiotherapist for premier club rugby teams. Then ten years of private practice here, with a focus on individual injury management, women's health, and post-natal recovery.
She's APPI-certified in clinical pilates, dry needling trained, and originally from Wellington. She works calmly and asks the questions other clinicians forget to ask.
Outside the clinic: outdoor activities, language learning, and the quiet confidence of someone who has rebuilt enough rugby players that nothing surprises her any more.
Oliver Larsen
AUT (2019) · Advanced Upper Limb (PAANZ) · 7 years
Oliver trained at AUT, worked four years at Physio Connect in Auckland, then spent time in Southeast Asia and India. He brings the upper limb specialty (PAANZ Advanced courses 2020 and 2022) and the dry needling foundation, plus a yoga teacher qualification (YTT200, Vinyasa/Ashtanga).
He runs meditation and breathing courses through the Art of Living Foundation. Useful if the thing in your shoulder is partly the thing in your nervous system.
Outside the clinic: travel, music, nature, and an approach to work that treats the breath as a clinical tool, not a wellness add-on.
Not sure who to book with?
Ring us. We'll talk through what's going on and tell you which of us is the right fit. Sometimes that's a recommendation to someone outside our clinic, which is fine.
